One thing to note about the S&G recording of El Condor Pasa: not only is the Los Incas recording a rolled-off needledrop, there's quite a bit of reverb added. As mentioned in my quoted post the new masterings sound really nice if not excellent on their own, compared to the AF's was not the slam dunk defeat I expected. At present time I am not sure which I prefer. Here is what I noted. The AF's seemed slightly more dynamic with a higher ceiling. The new mastering I used 24-192 see my quoted posting for more details has a slightly more clear sound, actually focus is a better word to describe, a slightly wider sound stage, a bit more low end on many tracks and in many places slightly more depth to the sound, they were a bit less warm overall.
