My last purchase of a stainless steel pressure cooker was about 20 yrs ago. A basic pressure cooker like many at the time except the stainless. It had the long pot-like handle as most home pressure cookers at that time. Not heavily build, but held up well, however was a pain to clean with the handles sticking out. The T-Fal Clipso is leaps and bounds above at a lower price in 2016 dollars. It is heavily build with a far greater locking mechanism.

Even though bigger in capacity it takes up less storage space. I use it mostly for cooking bean, which are notoriously difficult.

And it will tenderize the toughest piece of meat. Couldn't be more pleased.

And I'm not easy to please when it comes to appliances! If you are looking for a well made pressure cooker without spending outrageous prices, this one will not disappoint. This was my first having a pressure cooker and I loved it!

It's a simple design that will go with any kitchen and doesn't take up too much space. I love cooking pot roast and always forget to put it in the crockpot with enough time to cook. I don't have to worry about it any longer! It took less than an hour for the pressure cooker to cook my roast and veggies! The roast still came out tender and delicious!

I would definitely recommend this to a friend or any working family with not a lot of time to cook. The T-Fal Pressure cooker also came with a nice cookbook as well. It is easy to use and clean. I am a busy sports mom and with everything going on in the evenings, I didn't have the time to cook a meal in the evenings until I got my pressure cooker. Roasts, Chicken, Pork Loins are hot and ready in over half the time that it would normally take in an oven. Everything comes out tender with great flavor.
