Its hanging off the housing that's bolted to the top that screws to the bracket mounted to the ceiling. So I guess this is called a flush mount. Is that mounting ok. Meaning it has place to connect a rod, the bracket has a place for the ball to hang.

Could you send a picture to us so we can take a look?We would need the make and model of the fan, in order to look it up and see whether that fan can be mounted as a flush mount fan or not. Ultimately, if the fan is wobbling around or looks dangerous it would be a good idea to take it down and ensure there is a downrod in place. Again, if we know the make and model of fan, we can search for the manual online and see if it functions as a low profile fan or not.Look for the UPC code on the fan and then search up the UPC code online to figure out what the make/model of the fan is.
