I'll update if there's a problem once I receive my FREE SIM card with FREE Express Mail from AT&T. The unit comes charged, and everything worked perfectly, connected to my laptop, WiFi name & password printed on sticker. Very, very nice, compact, well-designed device. Easy connection, easy info once I learned to use the built-in electronic screen and 'Info'.
The 'ICCID' number is the SIM number, it's under 'Info' with the IMEA number in the electronic screen (AT&T will need both numbers for activation). The IMEA is also listed beneath battery. Slide two little metal sliders on side to remove back cover to remove battery. But you don't have to, it's in the electronic screen 'Info':)Persons much more mechanically inclined than I will see that the door to the SIM card is on the side edge, not in the back or under the battery. I would have ruined the. I purchased the Skyroam because it promised “Unlimited Data for 24 hours.” I recently spent two weeks in Egypt and used the Skyroam daily.
I had no problem connecting to the Skyroam but discovered that after a few hours of use the response degraded significantly. Turns out Skyroam’s definition of “unlimited data” is 500MB of use then data is throttled down to just enough to send emails. I ended up turning the device on and off throughout the day to conserve data so I could have decent WiFi for my daily needs. I feel like I’ve been flimflammed by Skyroam.
If you buy this product be aware of its limitations and that Skyroam’s business/marketing ethics are questionable. Arrived quickly thru PRIME and just in time for our trip to EUROPE. We wanted a hotspot to use in case our toddler wanted to youtube while out and about and using my roaming USA phone thru wifi to save on data costs. We arrived in Spain First and got a Sim card there.
Travelled to Italy and still had a strong signal even with roaming (make sure where ever you get your simcard, read the things included with the simcard like unlimited data, facebook apps, etc) The two weeks we were in EUROPE this lasted and we did not even use up the 3.5Gig data plan, we did not use youtube though which would probably eat up the data. We charged it every night, turned on while out of our hotel, did its job, lasted all day fully charged. I would say a good 8hours give.
I got the N300 Wireless Dongle with 5dBi Antenna and it has made a huge difference compared to my PC's onboard wifi. I have an excellent ASUS RT-AC68U router but it is located upstairs and my gaming setup is downstairs.
I have 150Mbps cable service but could only manage to get a maximum of 35Mbps downloads on my PC and had from 60-100ms ping when playing League of Legends with sometimes frequent lag spikes up to 800ms or more. We have two other laptops that we use downstairs with download speeds of 90-125Mpbs so I figured it had to be my wireless adapter. With this one it's night and day difference.
I get 80-100Mbps download speeds and when playing League it's an almost constant 44ms ping with the rare lag spike of 60-80ms. I'm very happy. Reliable product!!!
I was able to use it the last time I travelled to Asia (Philippines). This is a must have item when you travel. Get a local SIM card with data plan, manually configure APN, power off and on then you are good to go. I am currently using this in my car to provide WiFi. Really good product to have. Restricted area english patch 1.1.

Highly recommended.However, sometimes, the HUAWEI E5332 mobile WiFi can’t read the SIM card and it would not auto connect the network. So user need to setup and configure the HUAWEI E5577CS manually.
